Birth year watches

Watches made in 1979.

Concord released the Delirium in 1979, under two millimetres thick, thinner than a pound coin. The race to build the flattest watch possible produced pieces that were barely wearable and rather brilliant.

Ordinary 1979 watches inherited the look without the fragility: slim cases, small dials, and the last of the decade's restraint before the eighties arrived.
