Birth year watches
Watches made in 1980.
A watch made in 1980 was almost certainly quartz and almost certainly slim. Mechanical watchmaking had retreated to the top and bottom of the market, and the middle belonged to accuracy at a sensible price.
These are underrated watches. The cases were still finished properly, the movements were new enough to be well made, and prices today stay modest.
