Seiko built a television into a wristwatch in 1982. The screen was tiny, it needed a receiver in your pocket, and it turned up in a Bond film the following year. It was the high point of the idea that a watch should do everything.
Most 1982 watches are more sensible than that, and better for it. This is a good year to look for a slim quartz dress piece in excellent order.
