How much is my watch worth?
It depends on the brand, the reference, the condition of the dial and whether you still have the box and papers. Send us photographs and whatever you know about the watch and we will give you a straight figure, usually within 24 hours. The valuation is free and there is no obligation to sell.
Are old watches worth anything?
Often, yes, and not always the ones people expect. Vintage Seiko, Tissot, Longines and Raymond Weil pieces all have real collector demand, and condition frequently matters more than the name on the dial. An honest mid-century watch with an original dial can be worth considerably more than a newer piece that has been polished and redialled.
Do you buy watches that are not working?
Yes. A watch that has stopped is usually a servicing job rather than a write-off, and we service watches as a matter of course. Tell us what it does and does not do and we will price it accordingly rather than turning it away.
What is the best way to sell a watch in the UK?
You can sell privately, through an auction house, or directly to a specialist. Private sales can achieve the highest price but take the longest and carry the most risk. Auctions charge seller's commission and can take months to settle. Selling directly to a dealer is the quickest and most certain route: you get a firm figure and prompt payment, without fees coming out of it.
Do you charge any fees?
No. The figure we offer is the figure you receive. There is no commission, no listing fee and no charge for postage, which is fully insured and arranged by us.
Will you buy a watch you do not currently stock?
Very likely. We deal mainly in pre-owned and vintage wristwatches from the 1940s onwards, across a wide range of makers, and we are always interested in pieces we have not handled before. If it is not right for us we will say so plainly rather than making a low offer.
