TAG acquired Heuer in 1985, creating TAG Heuer and pulling a great racing name into the modern era. Citizen released the Aqualand the same year, the first dive watch with an electronic depth sensor.
1985 watches are confident and often two tone. They were made in large numbers, so good examples can still be found without paying a premium for scarcity.
