Seiko was the official timekeeper of the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, and the effort transformed the company. Stopwatches, printing timers and its first chronograph work all came out of preparing for those games.
Watches from 1964 tend to be robust, legible and built for use. If you want a vintage watch that behaves like a modern one, this part of the decade is where to look.
