Swatch added a chronograph to the plastic watch in 1990, squeezing a working stopwatch into a case that cost very little. It was a small piece of engineering bravado that nobody has really repeated.
The 1990s are the deepest part of our collection, so a watch from 1990 is one of the easier birth years to buy well. There is enough choice to be fussy about condition.
