1995 is the year the Omega Seamaster appeared on screen in GoldenEye, and dive watches came back into fashion for people who had no intention of diving. Rotating bezels turned up on all sorts of watches that did not need them.
Sapphire crystals were also becoming normal at the mid market by now, which is worth knowing. A 1995 watch with a sapphire crystal will usually look far better than a contemporary with acrylic.
