A watch made in 1950 came from an industry still rebuilding. Cases were small by modern standards, usually 32 to 35mm, almost always manually wound, and very often gold or gold-capped. The sub-seconds dial at six o'clock was the default rather than a design choice.

Watches from this year wear beautifully on a slim wrist and suit a shirt cuff far better than anything modern. Expect honest wear on the case and a dial that has aged; both are part of a watch that has been alive for seventy-five years.
